Baseball Players of the Week - Week 7
Week 7 - 3/16/26 to 3/22/26
Pitcher – This week's Pitcher of the Week comes from Otero College - Ty Reed, a Delta, Colorado native who delivered a standout performance on the mound over the weekend, proving to be a key asset out of the bullpen. In two appearances, Reed secured a pair of wins across 4.1 innings of work, he allowed just one run and two hits while striking out seven batters. His ability to control the game late and keep opposing hitters off balance played a crucial role in his team's success during the series.
Player – This week's Player of the Week comes from McCook CC - Hunter Southey from New Zealand put together a remarkable week at the plate, delivering one of the most explosive offensive stretches of the season. Over six games, Southey hit an eye-popping .545, going 12-for-22 while piling up extra-base hits and driving in runs at a relentless pace. He tallied three doubles, two triples, and launched five home runs, accounting for 13 runs scored and an impressive 20 RBIs. Just as notable was his discipline at the plate—Southey drew five walks and struck out only five times, consistently putting pressure on opposing pitchers.
